On July 9, 1980 Ryan Jackson Tanay was born, the first son of Craig and Renee Tanay. From the start his parents encouraged his creativity and artistic endeavors. Ryan always enjoyed drawing and still retains most of his early work from grade school. Enrolled in the Gifted and Talented program at Allenwood School in his hometown, Ryan was trained early in the ways of abstract thought and logic. Once in high school his attention turned fully to the arts as he found photography and soon after the digital wonders of Photoshop and Illustrator. With his diploma and portfolio in hand Ryan enrolled at The College of New Jersey in 1999 with the intent of becoming a digital artist. Once at college, he delved into his artwork. Upon graduation Ryan moved to Gainesville Florida with his lady Karla and set up shop as a digital artist. Several of his recent works have been featured in local juried shows, and on Newgrounds.com.
